The mission of Nevada Microenterprise Initiative is:

The Nevada Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc., is a nonprofit, tax exempt corporation chartered as a private sector initiative. It was founded for the sole purpose of increasing the purchase of goods and services between minority suppliers and the private and public sectors. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) dedicates its energy and resources to providing support to small businesses and small-business owners across the nation.

  • Contracts: We work to ensure that 23% of federal contract dollars go to small businesses.
  • Counseling: 14,000 SBA-affiliated counselors are ready when you need small business guidance.

Our financial programs support such essential public facilities and services as water and sewer systems, housing, health clinics, emergency service facilities and electric and telephone service. We promote economic development by supporting loans to businesses through banks , credit unions and community-managed lending pools. We offer technical assistance and information to help agricultural producers and cooperatives get started and improve the effectiveness of their operations. We provide technical assistance to help communities undertake community empowerment programs.
